Our Mission

My name is Naledi Zalabe. I was lost, but now I am found, I was blind but now I see. I am a wife to Siyabulela, and mother to Zenande, Alunamida and Chulumanco. I am a homemaker and a home schooler. Why did I start a Christian bookstore? Before I met my husband I never liked reading books it is now ironic that I advocate for Christians to read Christian literature. Since then I have come to experience the benefit of reading Christian literature. Books have helped me “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). I still continue to grow my head and heart knowledge by means of Bible reading, prayer, godly fellowship and hearing and obeying the Bible, as it is faithfully preached and taught at our local church. Supplementing these, I have found Christian books a further means to this growth. If the Apostle Paul in his dying days called for “the books especially the parchments”(2 Timothy 4:13), how much more should we immerse ourselves to good Christian literature? Charles Spurgeon comments that “even an apostle must read…Paul is inspired, and yet he wants books!” John Calvin goes on to say, “It is evident from this, that the apostle had not given over reading, though he was already preparing for death.” Paul was a reader. If we claim to be Christians, we should follow his example as he followed Christ, we should also be readers and blessed by it. Naledi’s Christian Bookstore was opened to equip Christians all over the country and beyond to grow in the knowledge of Jesus, not only in word but in deed as well. This will happen as we apply the truths of God’s Word as it is outlined in the resources that are available on this online store.
